Driving down Omaopio Road from Kula to Kahului is a delight.
After you leave the Kula Highway, you’ll meander by some small farms and beautifully landscaped yards as you wind your way down the mountainside. Every now and then the views open up to see all of west Maui, with Maalaea Bay to the south, and Kahului Harbor to the north. Drive slowly and enjoy these views in Lower Kula.
There are some sight-seeing highlights along Omaopio Road. If you have time, stop in and take a tour at these boutique farms.
Nearing the end, you’ll pass by the Maui County Landfill on your right. When you come to Hansen Rd, keep going straight into the new Kahului Business Park.
