Hana Maui benefits from land purchase for shoreline conservation

Hana Ranch is selling many of it’s parcels to some local entities, to ensure community access and limit development.  Just this month, 30 acres of oceanfront land has been purchased and set aside for conservation and restoration, with an aim to protect the land for future generations to enjoy. The buyers are Ke Ao Ali’i, the State of Hawaii, the County of Maui, and Hawaii Land Trust.

This was the second phase of an ongoing decades-long project to transfer hundreds of acres into a land trust.  The remaining oceanfront acres will hopefully be purchased in early 2022.
