Maui Uplands Community Center

In the Upcountry neighborhood of Maui Uplands there’s a place for the home owners to gather and enjoy tennis and swimming.  When you buy a home in this Makawao subdivision, you’ll be required to pay annual dues towards this benefit.

You’ll find the community center at the end of Kaupea Street, where it meets Haele Place.  Inside the compound there’s 2 tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse.  There’s parking for a dozen cars off-street, and more street parking too.  Everything is fenced and enclosed, ensuring privacy for those in the neighborhood.

Maui Uplands lots are about a 1/2 acre in size, allowing for 2 dwellings.  This area was developed in the 1980’s so it’s very established, with many mature trees and landscapes.  It might be considered a bedroom community of Makawao town.  The location below Makawao Avenue affords quick and easy access to Haleakala Highway, for a quick commute into Kahului.

In the past 12 months ( Dec 2023 – 2024) there have been 4 sales, with an average price of just about $1,000,000.
