West Maui’s Kapalua Resort sells off 46 acres for development

Maui Land & Pineapple Company is slicing up a chunk of Kapalua Resort

This big West Maui real estate deal is currently in escrow as of February 6, 2020.  The purchase agreement is signed and contingent upon buyers and sellers working through their respective contingencies.  The due diligence period is about 6 months off, and closing will be 45 days after the buyers are satisfied with their due diligence.
 
The sellers are Maui Land & Pine Co. and the buyers are KCRMD LLC from Delaware.  The sale price is $43,850,000 which includes 46 acres of land, all the improvements and right-of-ways, and the development rights and entitlements.

 

 

Kapalua Central Resort is the new entity, which plans to have 61,000 sf of commercial space, and 188 condos and multi-family residential units.  It will be located in the center of the current 22,000 acre Kapalua Resort.
